On behalf of the Custom Rod Builders Guild and the RodCrafters Journal, I'd like to say Merry Christmas to all our friends at TRB. God bless each and every one of you, and may your Holiday season be safe and happily spent with family and loved ones.
Yep, Merry Christmas and a Happy (and safe) New Year. Let us all enjoy our families this holiday season and say an extra prayer (or 2) for the men and women in uniform who can't be home to enjoy the liberties they provide.
Merry Christmas to everyone! And a big Amen to our troops that won't be with their families this Cristmas. It is the sacrficases of those that allows us to celebrate this season in peace and harmony. I think this is also a good time to thank those that have donated this past year to honor those that have given to our freedom. Pat has continued his tireless work as well as all of those that have donated time and materials to this cause. Jerry Poindexter has been very prolific with at least 4 rods that I know of. Doug Smith, Rusty Bryley, Eddie Torres, Terry Goode, Alex Almarez, John Lopez, Ray Smith, Captn Lloyd Pepper, Allen Pierce, Bennie Buelher, Paul Lindsey, are others just to name a few. Now we have our new friends form the West Coast that have really stepped up to the pump. Randy Search has not only donted rods (and materials) that are some for the most "kick-ass" rods I've ever seen, but his public support and dedication to help the program grow has been outstanding. When Pat went to California for the West Coast Rod Show he came home with 11 rods that were donated there on the spot. Jim Trelikes in particular donated 2 beautiful rods himself. None other than Captn G donated rod building matrials of the highest caliber. He donated a complete set of Titanium Tangle free spinning guides (which the size 30 retails $70 by itself)...no counting the rest of the guides!! Along with some awesome reel seats and other goodies that Randy made RFS rods from. Also want to thank Mark Griffin from Acid Rod and ALL the help he has given to the RFS program. He donated the booth for Pat at the show, helped with our shipping, and has been a supporter! A very Special thanks must go to Silvia Davis. Her and Grady have worked tirelessly to promote the good side of rod building and to support TRB and RFS. Silvia is a tremendous marketing mind and will be able to help us in the future as we continue in our pursuits to promote rod building, continuing education, and supporting our troops.
Once again Merry Christmas to all and hope you have a safe, joyous, and prosperous 2011!
