I have been invited to bring 4 Texas wounded veterans to fish in a tuna tournament in Washington. At least I think it is Washington. It is on the Bloodydecks website. The airfare will be paid for courtesy of Operation airlift. I will call and get all of the details tomorrow. Pat
That is absolutely fantastic. What a wonderful thing to happen for the group. You better bring me back a ton of photos so that I can add them to the website.
I wish I weren't so busy and I might try to go too!!

That is not Operation Airlift, it is Veterans Airlift Command. It is an all volunteer organization the provides air transportation in private planes for medical purposes or anything that would help veterans. Troy, the person that is sponsoring the 12 disabled veterans in the fishing tournament, said that they would take me anywhere in the USA to make a rod presentation. I haven't talked to any of that group yet but it would be great way to expand on what we do. I am going to need to get 13 rods built for these soldiers and one for Capt. Troy who will be the boat captain. I received enough heavy components and blanks from John Blair to do this. Anyone that would like to build a heavy jigging rod let me know and I will get the stuff to you. Pat
Pat i don't know if i qualify i lived in Texas for twenty years after i returned from VieNam and i do have the Purple Heart. Keep me in mind if i qualify

Wounded Warriors are going to pick the veterans. The tournament will benefit area food banks but there will be an auction for the Wounded Warriors Project. We will be taking an auction rod for them. Paul. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Pat
