Went to Wally Mart last night to do some minor shopping that my Mrs. usually does for the house. I park the car (wife's car BTW) and check surroundings so I know where I parked when I come out of the store.
I'm in the store 20min and come out to find that the car WAS STOLEN! It was NOT where I parked it so it had to be stolen! Checked all the landmarks & stuff, yeah, it's friggen not there. SHOOT!
Call the wife, tell her, she's now on the way to pick me up & she's pissed! Security patrol see's me going in circles and asks me what's wrong. I tell him what's friggen wrong! WTF!! Aint ya doing your job? He takes the car discription & license # and off he goes.
10-15 min pass & I'm about to call the cops (to pissed to call right away) then the Security Patrol dude returns and tells me my car is over there. Where I say? He says, "over there in row #8 " WTF!? I walk over to row #8 and there is the Wife's CAR? Seems I came out a differnt door than I went into. All landmarks looked indenticle except for the row #'s that I had missed before.
I say, thanks dude! Sorry! (he had drove over to be sure) I feel like a idiot now & call the wife. She's only a minute away, releaved that the car wasn't ripped-off but pissed that she had to leave the house in my truck. (she hates the stick and it hurst her back to drive the truck).
All is good a bit later except my pride. I tell the wife I'm going to the corner store to get the smokes I forgot earlier. She KNOWS I'm only walking to the corner but she says as I'm leaving, "don't loose the car this time dear!" LOL
Haha dude that is funny. i applaude you for tellimg the story...most people can't laugh at themselves! (thats usually your friends job!) Glad it turned out OK....
I came out of the plant after working 16 hrs one time and couldn't find my truck. I called the cops ,they came and filled out a report. As the cops were taking my info one of my friends was coming into the plant on a call out. I told him that my truck had been stolen and he asked me how my wifes car had gotten here, he was parked beside it. I forgot that I drove her car to work. Pat
Imagine the story that the security guard told his family when he got home that night. And how you were the brunt of his jokes. I love it. You remind me of a guy I used to work with in Virginia who told of a snowy day that he found a HORNETS nest near the ground and thought all the hornets had died. So he took it home and hung it over his roaring fireplace. Turns out they weren't dead, they were dormant. He got stung 8 times by Bell Hornets (1-1/2" long) in his own house. I asked him if he was drunk when he took it in the house. Then I asked him what posessed him to tell all of us, knowing how we would react.
