Weaving

I have been wanting to learn threadweaving but don't know where to start. I have the jig and JAmes Uptons book but still have no idea where to start. What is a good pattern to start with? I will gladly come to you and sit in your shop. Uptons book starts with Letters and I've already done that. I can't go to High Point or I would wait for that. smile

There are a couple good starting patterns in Jim's book. The double fish and scull & bones are cool!

Try your name! I started by doing names on rods. There are a couple tutorials on my website www.rodbuildingtutorials.com and lots of free patterns as well.

Doc Ski's DVD is highly recommended.love to have you over to my house if your anywhere near Sacramento, CA

There are also some easy weaving patterns in the book by Dale P. Clemens "Custom Rod Thread Art"

Where are you located? I would be happy to show you everything I know. I live in
West Columbia. About 50 miles south of Houston.

I mean W Columbia. I'm not sure where that is. Maybe near Angleton or something.

Hope your not going to the North East or you'll be there longer than a few days. That will be fine. Just let me know when.
