Pictures from Arlington

I am going to post some pictures but first a few details.
The rod recipients were Rick Rainey. Rick entered the Army in March, 1968 was stationed in S. Korea on the DMZ. I am glad we had men like Rick between us and them. He got out of the Army March, 1970.
The second rod recipient was SSgt. Sarah Kim-Mata. Sarah joined the Army in 2003 and served in Afghanistan. She is currently stationed in Wichita Falls, Texas and is serving as a recruiter. She is six months pregnant with her first child. Sarah was unable to attend but her Commanding Officer ( Lt.Christine Porter) accepted for her.
Both recipients are avid fishermen and will put these rods to good use.
Sadly Silvia was sick and unable to go to Arlington and she really missed a great event. My wife and I were met at the door by Rose Villareal and Charles Stone. Rose takes care of promotional work for the show and Charles Stone is Kraig Parkers manager. We were immediately escorted into a small banquet room along with other guest such as the Mayor of Arlington, radio personalities, and such. Mr. Stone went to where Elvis was talking to some people and brought him over to introduce him to us and he was followed by Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison. They all made a big fuss over my wife and she was eating it up. After pictures and a short interview for the local radio station we were directed to a buffet table with cold cuts and finger foods.
I made the presentations just before the show began.
Now for some pictures.
