OK, these are a bit unusual but they kind of grow on you after you look at them awhile. Christopher is a retired Marine currently working overseas in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor. He wanted each guide wrap to mimic the Combat Action Ribbon and also wanted me to incorporate an actual ribbon on each rod. The ribbons were actually quite difficult to do because they are very fragile when removed from their backing and made of silk. I ruined about 10 of them prior to getting these to work (through trial and error). CP was definitely my friend. I also incorporated the famous war painting because I thought it was appropriate. It worked quite well because one side has the full image while the other has the ghost reflection with the bird on the medic's shoulder. Rods are Seeker stand-ups (CTSF63XXH & CTSF63XXXH), American Tackle Titan Turbo guides, Fuji SiC top, cobalt blue Perfection reel seat with matching gimbal, hypalon grips. Christopher also had purchased 5 blanks for the Rods for Soldiers (RFS) Program. Randy.
