boy this place sure is dead , what some body leave a dead shrimp in the corner ?
a buddy came by last week and gave me 3 rods (broke of course) one was a Garcia "Conolon" 2508-D "3 star" 6-1/2, the top 6 inches was broken off so i just moved the last guide down and added a top to it.
this thing has 3 colors "painted on it" the base color is brown and the thread is a dark brown but its on a tan color painted section then expands out on both sides to a med dark tan color.
from what i could find this rod was made when Garcia first started out and you sure can tell it to, the thread work is nice but some the ends are not trimmed or hidden.
but this thing is as light as a feather, says its "light action fast taper".
