I was able to complete my first rod. I used it last week to catch some red snapper out of Port A last week.  The sad part is that it did not travel well in the truck on the way home. Not sure what happened but now I have about 2 inches of scratches on the rod between 2 guides. Looks like I will be adding a decal of some kind and will be investing in a travel bag for my rods. Oh well but I am ready to start the next rod...

boy , that puts my first rod to shame, nice work, congrats on the rod and fish.

Boy that is nice!
Mark is coming down this weekend to observe the class....but I can see from here....HE DOESN'T NEED IT!!!! haha

Thanks for the complements.  I was not going to bring it this weekend since it got all scratched up in the truck and I have not had a chance to fix it. However I will bring it anyway.


Looking forward to the class this weekend and picking up my next blank.
