well started on the rod that will have the invisible wrap on it, man i dont want to screw this up.
So far i have 2 eyes wrapped, boy is this silk thread thin and its hard to tell if a thread has overlapped another thread. but then if the thread is invisible who will know - right ?, heheh.
The wife suggest i take a break after 2 hrs of cussing wrapping and rewrapping so we went to our little biker bar down the street, i got to see people i havent seen in a very long time and enjoyed the evening.
Needless to say i did not resume the wrapping hehehe.
well i applied the thinned flex coat like i did on the red rod ( this blank is a black) or i thought so!
from the first application on each eye the silk AND the rod, the flex coat turned them a funkie iridescent blue and not a very pretty blue either.
so i am going to let it set for a while till i cool off and figure out whether i wrap over them with something or cut all of them off and do something else.
am wondering now if its the rod coating(paint) that also gave me problems with the grease stick marker .
you cant see it to well in the pic but its there.

Terry- Have you tried coating the wraps with Permagloss? I think you could use permagloss to get the wraps to disappear and then once it's dry, coat with epoxy.... just a thought...
