Working On A New Rod.....

Been working on a new rod and wanted to show off the handle.....this is a Gaboon Viper Handle on a St.Croix Flyrod blank..( black satin finish).....it's going to be awesome !!...

It has heck convincing that viper to get on that handle !!!..biggrin

It is finally warming up here enough for me to start the epoxy work on the flyrod handle...this is the first coat...

That is truely beautiful.
What I want to know is, Is there a rule of thumb on how much you need to take out of the handle for it to still be comfortable in a persons hand?

          Rusty.....
You really do not take anything out from the handle.....my clients tell me what length handle they want...or ask me what I suggest....
I never had any of my clients tell me that my handles were uncomfortable....
                        Hope I answered your question....if not..keep asking...
