My Dad "Larry" built this one. It's a new rod built on a very new old stock Herters glass blank. Probably only a few in existance and none in as good condition as this!
Raymond, I have a 1969 Herter'e catalog and it lists a handmade browntone precision hollow glass spinning rod blank model RB6Y1S80 (not the same number as yours but should be very similar) 5'-6" and the price in 1969 was $3.53.
