Financial report for RFS

So far we have built 43 rods for soldiers most going to take a soldier fishing and fishing for heroes. Five rods have gone to Operation Military Embrace as fundraiser rods so that they can purchase PX type items which are taken to Brooks Army Medical Center. The wounded soldiers are allowed to pick out whatever they want for free. Three rods have gone for wounded or killed firemen for fundraisers. Five rods have been donated to fire departments to raise funds for their departments. One rod went to the West Columbia Lion's Club to raise money to operate camps for blind children.
We have received $850.00 in donations including $300 from The West Columbia Lion's Club, $50.00 from Sharon Jones (my SIL). The rest was raised from our fundraiser at FTU and a modest donation from me.
I have spent $771.64 for components and blanks. We have $78.36 in our account. I am planning to donate $200.00 more before I go to the ICRBE show in High Point, NC next month so that I can take advantage of whatever good deals I can find.
Anyone needing to look at my books are welcome. Anyone wanting to donate is also welcome.
Pat

Those are some impressive numbers Pat! Especially since Ike & the fact YOU did most of the work.

Going forward folks, lets see if we can TOGETHER kick it up a notch for 2010!

I didn't build all of these rods. I have received rods from Jerry Poindexter, Lloyd Pepper, Charlie Garrison, Jim lueck, Woodee's Rods, and a couple of more that I can't remember right now. I don't mind building for the soldiers.
I am going to try to get pictures of the recipients whenever possible and names. I haven't done a very good job of that. I need to post pictures of the rods so that everyone can see the quality and workmanship that these guys that have helped me put into these rods.
Bill Cason has a Special Forces rod that he is going to present to a Special Forces soldier. He is trying to get her and her commanding General to come to High Point during the expo so that we can present it there. That would give our club and RFS a big boost. I hope he can pull it off.
