The Sandwich Maker Rod....

Here is a rod that I made for a dear friend of mine that lives in Snyder, Texas and owns a Subway Shop...hence the name The SandwichMaker Rod....
He is a avid crappie angler and years ago I built him a Diamondback rod for him with a inlay crappie jig...
He has told me if I ever got hungrey to come out for a sandwich...so I built him this rod and drove a round trip of 400 miles to deliver the rod just before Christmas, figured I needed to pay for my lunch !!biggrin
I left the rod in his office as a Christmas Gift Surprise !!...( unfortunately he was out of town when I made my trip !!...)
Needless to say, he loved the rod..it was just a Plain Jane rod built on a St.Croix rodblank ( black satin finish )...seven foot..ultra light , spinning rod...( I was so tempted to keep it !!)

I guess you can say This Is The Joy Of Rodbuilding !!...

is that a label or did you write the name in on the blank then clear it off , either way it looks good and readable.
and in gold if i am not mistaken.

          Terry....
It is not a label or decal...I inscribe all my rods by hand...I use Testors Gold Paint..and a very fine tipped pen....and a coat of epoxy.

It takes practice..not the easiest thing to write on a slippery and round surface....
