Operation Military Embrace

                 www.operationmilitaryembrace.com
I found this on a bumper sticker today and contacted them. I talked to Jerry Reed and asked him if we could help. Jerry Reed is the President. He told me that they do a PX day once a month where they take all kinds of items from  clothes ,snacks, toilitries, books, games etc, etc, etc. and let the soldiers pick out what they want. I thought we might add a few rods to the selection. Also they are having a Golf Tournament/ fundraiser on March 26th. I promised some rods to auction off. I am planning on at least two. I have a weave pattern for the Marine logo and the Army logo and I intend to build one of each and maybe two of each. If anyone else would like to build a rod for this let me know and I will get a blank and some components to you. These folks are doing some great things for our heroes so let's help them.

Pat, I'll build a couple of casting rods for the Mar 25th auction. I've got some P703/704 blanks on the way that I could use, if you think they're suitable. Are your weave patterns small enough for these? I've got plenty of guides/seats, too. Jerry

That would be great. I really like the 703 and 704 blanks. The Marine logo is 77 threads wide but I think it would work just fine. I don't remember what the Army logo is but it is not that big. I will try to remember to send them tomorrow by e-mail. Let me know what else you need as far as guides, handles and tip-top.

Hey Pat, I'll build one, send 1 over this way 138 Elaine Rd San Antonio Tx 78222-1108.  Be more than glad to help any time. Does it have to be a weave?  I'm good at cross wraps, not 2 exp. w/weave though?  The offer stands.  Eddie

Thanks Eddie
No it doesn't have to be a weave. These folks appreciate anything. I am doing weaves because that is what I like to do. I am waiting on an order now and will send you a set up as soon as I can.
