WE survived the storm but it has slowed down our plans for our club. Our rod show has been postponed indefinately and shouldn't be rescheduled until everyone has their lives back in order. Do we let this change of events slow down our progress? We were making a lot of progress very fast. Do we need to maybe slow down and plan things a little better or do we drive on at a frantic pace like we were? I don't know the answer to these questions but I can tell you this club is important to me and I want to see it thrive. I think our club can eventually be one of the most succeesful in the craft of rodbuilding. We have some really big names in the craft, we have some great people with great ideas, and we are needed to teach others. It can slow us down but it can't stop us if we all work to keep this thing going. Pat
Good point Pat... lives have been turned upside down... many have lost much indeed. The pace TRB had going before the Storm will be delayed, no doubt, and it's going to take a while to get back to that, for sure. It'll happen in short time, I'm sure - but still, I'm glad we have those like you to make sure no one forgets why we got together in the first place.
Those questions are best answered by the founding members. Most of which were affected by Ike one way or another. However, We "Honorary" members can step up and help with what ever we can. I for one am ready and can have a couple rods built soon if that will help. Just let us know what we can do.
