I am wanting to do a deco wrap like Dave (dc1502) does. If you aren't familiar with what I am talking about...he starts at the butt...wraps out about 12 inches, they turns and goes back the other way without tape or without having to use a tie off. Since he doesn't frequent 2cool anymore...I was wondering wha the uses for glue when he turns around and goes back towards the butt? I have some Sullys Fabric Temporary spray I use for my Dry Transfer Decals that should work, but I didn't know what was normal.
Ok Terry, lets see if I could explain it right I s___ at explaining but here it goes, once you figure where the layout is going to set and start wrapping at the beginning to the stopping point you could wrap around one full turn then cross wrap back to the starting point. One of the easiest ways I found to do this is using Metallic Braid Hologram followed by thread to outline. The Hologram is wide enough to hold in place easy to manipulate and outstandingly loud to catch anyones attention. A Diamond wrap or Chevron on this wrap around looks great. If and just if it starts to move as you wrap around you could add a drop of superglue under the hologram to hold in place. The super glue become invisible when you add finish. Hope this helps. Eddie
Terry, That file is a scan directly from Dale's book which is now being re-printed. Posting the file could generate a phone call from the author, publisher, or an attorney.
