Fly fishing for trout, in Japan, with BD's Matt Smith

Matt, who is currently serving his 17th year in the US Navy, came to visit me in Japan.

I took him fly fishing, and we caught some rainbow trout, Iwana (purple char, with white spots) and even a stocked Japanese steelhead, called "sakuramasu" in Japanese.

Beautiful fish. I know Matt had a great time. I would love to go to Japan. Maybe someday.

killer colors in that first fish pic G !

Pat been there didnt care for the citys much but loved the outer villages and country side and "all" the history one could just see where ever ya looked.
