Trelike's Dragonscale Wrap, done up "G-Style"

DSC08379.jpgDSC08529.jpgDSC08530.jpgMaster Rod Crafter Jim Trelikes taught me this wrap.
It is very nice, and looks even more "scaly" in person.

Jim is publishing an article next month on how to do this in Kevin's Magazine, so pls. check it out!

Whats the process? Putting down a net looking wrap, the wrapping on top of it? Very cool look and I've never heard of it.
Whats the Japanese Decal in the first pic?

It is a brand new wrap invented by Jim Trelikes.
You are correct in that it is a net like matrix, whichis wrapped over with size A metallic thread.

The Japanese  "decal" is not a decal, but rather a paper label that is on a tin can.
I used steam heat to gently remove the label, then I laid it down over a Fuji locking nut tube.  I then wrapped over the whole thing with Size A pearl thread, which becomes transparent if you do not use CP.
I use this process for securing all types of logos/decals, and it looks pretty sharp, considering it is done by someone with limited knowledge like me.

Ya know I was going to ask if it came off Fast Food container of rice or something, but I'm rusty on my japanese.
Both are very cool processing I've never seen before...you did a great job wrapping A over such an irregular surface without gaps! Nice job!
All your stuff is very creative and off the wall!
