Threadwork seminar: 10:00 am will give an over view of the different aspects of trims, inlays, crosswraps, and weaves. This will be "demo" only
Captain Llyod Pepper - 12:00 Llyod will go over his carreer in Rod Building and the history of the craft on the Gulf Coast. He will have slides of wraps he's done over the years and we will have vintage thread, Rodcrafter magazines, custom rods and reels that go back to the 50's on display
Club Meeting - 2:00 We are to have elections, but right now, there is no opposition for the Positions...the nominees are:
President - Terry jones Vice Pres - Pat Helton Treasurer - Doug Williams
Unless someone submits there name by Friday night midnite to me, they will be un-opposed and we wont need to vote.

Man.... I'm SUPER SORRY GUYS!!!! I'm wife has be having really bad morning sickness that last all day and I had to stay home today to help her with the kido's. I really wanted to make it to the meeting. Hopefully she starts to feel better soon so I can get more involved in the club again.. I miss going up to FTU and talking to you guys.
well you missed some "rod building history" thats for sure, besides that we talked about you, called you a few names ----

it was a good meeting, quite a few brought there rods along with them - heck i even brought the "Scrimshaw rod", and we looked at some slides of some old but neat rod work.
ya see next time take the wife to her mothers and the kids to a day care center, pack the cooler with ice and a six pack and head on down ....(ya right! ,heheh) and we had a new guy show up. yes we missed ya.

I took some pictures of the Vintage Seminar, but not many of the seminar itself. Since I do the meetings, I didn't take any..
I am going to send out a club email this week that will cover the elections and some other things. Since no one else threw their names in the hat, the officers are:

I have resigned from being Assitant Editor on the Rod Crafters Journal so I can devote more time to the club. I am going to get busy with the club newsletter first thing. Bennie Beuhler is going to be in-charge of Education.....he will be setting up class schedules and lining up instructors. Everyone that wants to help teach can get on a list we will pull from for classes.
I have also put together a Survey to help give me a better idea for club direction and make sure we delivery what club members want. I need honest repsoneses on this survey folks. I want to know why you joined the club and your expectations. Your name on it is optional...
