Major Jason Lewallen

I had the pleasure of presenting a rod to my SIL, Major Jason Lewallen, last Saturday when He was honored by the Brazoria County Cavalry. Jason is a West Point graduate and a career soldier. He has served in Bosnia and Iraq as well as Korea and England. He is highly decorated in both conflicts. He will be leaving for Afhganistan after a short stay at FT. Drum, New York.
I was also honored by the Cavalry for my Viet Nam war service. The Brazoria County Cavalry will honor any returning soldier or soon to be deployed soldier at the families request. They also provide escort for funerals including meeting the casket at the airport and escorting it to the funeral home where a cavalry member is with the casket at all times, day and night. They are great people and are doing important work. I have offered to provide them with a custom rod for any soldier that they are honoring. The soldiers that do not meet the RFS criteria of being wounded or decorated I will pay for myself. It will be my honor to reward these wonderful young heroes.

Congratulations Pat. Two good things. I think it is time to recognize the Yiet-Nam Vets

The post below this one labeled "pictures" has the pictures of the event. The attachment in my post is just a thing I was playing with.
