I just wanted to let all of you know that you are a great bunch of folks and this club should do very well. Someone needs to take over RFS. PLease steo up. Pat
Pat we do not need to go to that extreme, I for one would hate to see you step down from RFS, as far as I am concerned you are a fine gentleman and I respect you for that. If things got a little screwed up and out of hand, that is just human nature sometimes. As I told you I would like to assist you with the RFS program and that was because of the aformentioned.
Just my two cents worth, but it would be a shame

I would hate to see you step down..... I agree with Doug. Not one of use is perfect. Like I stated in my post to Ray. I understand needing to vent a little after working to hard on the RFS and putting some much time into it. I would be more than happy to help you in any way I can.

I appreciate that Ray. Maybe you and Doug can work together and take this program to the next level. I can't, I am to outspoken and controversial. I just want to settle back into my little shop and do work for local people and occassionaly donate a rod to RFS to honor my heroes. My guys are what is important amd I have let them down. I will do my best to make up for that. God bless you partner and do what you can for my heroes. Pat
Pat i for another would really hate to see you give up the reigns for the RFS. You have taken it from nothing to a national recognised drive. I am proud to be a part of Texas rod Builders and very proud that you are a much bigger part than i . Say the word and will help in any way i can. Paul

Please just pick someone else. I am too controversial and cannot keep my mouth shut. There are folks that can do a much better job than I can. Someone step up, please. Pat
Pat- I think everyone here feels like you're the best man for the job. This little thing will blow over very quickly and it will all be forgotten soon. I think you should take a couple days to let the dust settle and then re-consider. If at that point, you still are not interested in running the program, we'll take nominations/volunteers and see what we can get set up. I understand that you have been shouldering the load for RFS on your own for a while, but now that the club is gaining momentum, I think that you'll find plenty of support if you stick with it.

I am sorry to read this Pat.....I think you should reconsider and stay on !! You are very good with the RFS..!!

Pat, I can't think of anyone better for the job than you.
"...too controversial and cannot keep my mouth shut." THAT is exactly what the program needs! If it's ran by someone who doesn't make waves, or is too quiet - the program could get swept under the rug and forgotten. People NEED to stay aware of RFS, and IMHO, a Director who will keep quiet is the LAST thing it needs. You do it for the right reasons, and your heart is in the right place - that's just what RFS needs... we'll back you up when we can. After this issue of the Journal is out, I'll have some spare time to contribute, and would be honored to do so... as long as you run RFS. Of course, I'd be honored anyway, but you see my point... RFS wouldn't be the same without you Pat.
Thanks to all of you for your kind words and encouragement. With the help of all of you we can really improve this program and make it a lot better. Trey and Doug are going to be helping me with the program so you know it is going to get a lot better now. Thanks again Pat
say ya want me to work on that logo i gave ya some more, or get me the email of that guy who said it would not work for ya.
I tried to edit that letterhead using MS Word and couldn't change anything. I had talked to the guy on the phone about making the decals and he said that by the time it was reduced in size enough to put on a rod you couldn't tell what it was. I still like the logo and would like it on a letterhead but maybe we could do something different for decals to go on the rods, maybe just the letters or maybe I need to check with a different decal maker. I would like to have decals on each rod we donate. Pat
Pat.... I know a great decal maker. Charles at "Golden Touch Decals" he has done all my waterslide decals and designed logos for a couple of guys in the club. If you would like I would be more than happy to put you in contact with him...
Charles did all the artwork for Dale Clemens books, and he is a rod maker as well. Super great guy.
