Actually for a different Duke than the 2 previous Duke rods that I've done. This one is for an Angleton wadefisher. Spiral micros, starting w/ #6 DFoot, going to 4.5's as he uses braid/leader. I had to paint the blank white where his name weave is, in order to use the reg nylon lt. blue. I used PacBay's sky blue NCP for the guide wraps and measure wraps. Texas quarters are getting harder to find!
Alfonso, it's not really a "cap"...it's just a 1/4" rubberized cork ring. I trace around the quarter and then cut the rub/cork out w/ a dremel type tool. I don't glue the quarter in until after the grip is installed. For this one, I stood the rod up tip down next to a door frame and taped it in place, mixed finish, and poured it on the quarter and let it level out and set. Others may do it different, and even have an easier technique. Jerry
