Things are happening.

Things are starting to happen. I have received two complete rod kits from Batson Enterprises, thirty fish decals from Decal Connection and Bill Mar Decals, and forteen spincast reels from pflueger/Shakespeare. Fish Hawk threads are sending plenty of thread and I am getting lots of rod finish from Richard Jankaukas of Rodology. the letters were sent just 1 week ago so I am pretty confident we will get more donations. Richard is also sending samples of rod finish to pass out at the tackleswap. If any of you have any contacts with vendors or manufacturers feel free to contact them and see if they can help. If anyone would like to help build soldier rods contact me and I will get you set up.

That is great Pat! Did they just send the spin casters, no baitcasters?
We need to figure how to allocate the material...can you start an inventory of what you have now?
What are the blanks that Batson sent and guides? ie model #'s and sizes?

Terry

They are all spincasters but seem to be nice reels. They are all different. They also sent four spools of line. I have inventory sheets on the two kits from Batson. They are Rainforest IP843 and IP842. Guides and reel seats are Pac Bay. Cork grips. Decals from Decal Connection are 15 trout and 15 redfish. I am going to send "Thank You" letters to each person or company that makes a donation.

The IP843 and 842 are good blanks for down here! Funny the guides and seats are Pac Bay?

Let them know when you send the Thank You letter we will make due mention of their part in our newsletter and any marketing we do...also ask them for an email address we can send a copy of the newsletter to. This will keep them up on club happenings!
Thanks Pat! Good job!

Terry
