I got a reply from Shimano regarding a new reel for the soldier rod and their donation well is dry for the rest of the year so I'll talk to FTU(Danny) and see if they'll step up to the plate. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.,,,Jim
I just learned from Robbie Smith....(FishHawk Threads,) that the thread for the donation rod is on it's way to Doug's home..... I did not ask Robbie to donate this thread, he stepped to the plate and volunteered/offered the thread to us !!
