Update on West Coast Representation of Rods for Soldiers

I spoke with the owners wife of the company next door to my work.  I told her about the Rods for Soldiers program and she was genuinely interested, even asked about how it was funded.  She assured me that she would speak with her husband about the program and would be willing at the very least to display a flyer in their place of business.  This is good because the name of the company is US Optics; you can check them out on line.  Their customers are primarily law enforcement, military, serious hunters and competition shooters.  Yes I cherry picked this one, but you got to start somewhere.  At the very least, with a flyer in their place of business, all customers will be educated about the program and military or x military customers should get a warm fuzzy feeling just knowing a program like this exists.

I also spoke with an associate at a local tackle shop about the program, they had not heard about it, but showed interested to say the least.  They asked for more info, they did not commit to anything but I am almost positive, at the very least they would be willing to display a flyer in their place of business.  This tackle shop is an established and well known shop.  Ill name them after they agree to let me display a flyer.

I also spoke with Pat just a few minutes ago and enjoyed every minute of it, you Texas Rod Builders have a giving person in your club, you should all be proud.

I will be posting more, just wanted to stay in touch, keep building rods, God Bless.

P.S. Thanks for all the help in researching the history of the program.
