Colby Kaleidescope Wraps (CKW's)

We all know of them.
Most of us like them.
The are easy as sin is to commit.
Here are a few that are not too bad, considering that Capt. G did them.

Peach out.

I beleive that is more than just a plain CKW. At least mine don't look like that. Looks like a couple of them have some pigments in them. Keep up the good (and innovative) work.

Contrary to popular beliefs, I don't make anything worthy of being classified.

The first two, on the left, are base layers of size A thread, three different colors.  I like to contrast bright metallics, with black, but colors are up to my clients.
These I wrap from left to right, loosely, and burnish heavily.
Then I coat with epoxy, and as it is going off, I wind, from right to left (opposite direction) clear mono.  I usually do a test before the epoxy, to see which mono pound test works the best.
The far left is #70, and the next one is #90 clear mono.
I never coat or cover the mono--it will last as long, or longer than guide wraps.

The one on the right is a simple CKW on the bottom, plus I added some Asahi Paint company glow in the dark paint (green), plus some black Japanese calligraphy ink (black) for contrast.

Hope that helps.

Funny that you mention that site, because I got an message sent to my corporate email account stating that when they figured out which alias I was posting under, I would be banned for life.
I thought that kind of strange, since I have never even bothered to look at that web site, let alone become a member.
I would rather watch paint dry...

Hey, was it not William "Wild Bill" Colby that invented both the Kruggerand Coin, and Cafe Latte?

Hi Terry,
The one on the left is one of my favorites.
It is all size A Gudebrod thread--three colors:
1. Black Electra HT
2. Purple Metallic HT
3. Red Metallic HT
