Telescoping rods

Can anyone give me some directions on building a Telescoping rod. The blank is 6' and the sliding piece is 18" making it a 7'6" rod
Any help would be appreciated

I had a Diawa once that was 7'oa w/sliding handle in a med. It was a great topwater rod. Of course I don't have it anymore.

Basicly Paul, ya build it like a 1pc. The banks are sold as a 1+ (section indicator) and were designed with the rod locker in most bass boats in mind. The rod retracts to a short enough length to fit in the locker.

Like mentioned on the other Forum, you slide the long section inside the shorter butt section so it comes out the end. It's best to plug the butt now so the tip section can't pop thru the butt cap. Your stripper guide generally falls on the tip section at a point where it won't bang the butt section when fully retracted.

Other than that it's a straight forward casting set-up.
