New lathe

My new lathe came in yesterday and I have already made a grip on it. A friend of mine gave me some really cool looking wood. It is real dark so I want to get some light wood and do some elipticle grips. When Princes sees her mop handle, I don't know what she will think about the finger grips.
I would like to find some Bou'dearc wood. That's horse apple trees. The wood is beautiful.

I need pieces 9" long and 1 1/2" square. I will be happy to buy and pay shipping for whatever you can spare.

Got my Turncrafter ProVS over the holidays. All set up now with tools, mandrels, chucks, but no wood yet.

Need to save every penny for a while though but hope to have something to share soon!
